The party stumbles across the skeletal remains of a human. The skeleton is in tact except for a small hole located on its skull. There are, however, 2 objects of note near the skeleton. An old rusted hammer and a porcelain doll. The doll is in remarkable quality.
The doll is well crafted and appraises for a value of 100g.
Trouble does not begin until after the party decides to take the doll and move on from the location. At some point in the near future the doll will manifest its terrible power. Once per day the doll is able to attempt to compel a single living creature within 30ft of it to commit suicide.
“The target must make a DC 15 Will save. Failure indicates he attempts a coup de grace action on himself with the nearest weapon, dealing weapon damage (plus twice his Strength modifer) points of damage on himself. He must make a Fortitude save (DC 10 + the damage dealt) to avoid being slain by this suicide attempt.”
If the target fails his will save a child like voice is heard exclaiming “Let’s have some fun!”. A DC 20 Perception check reveals the voice emanated from the doll. If the target passes the will save he feels a slight suicidal impulse leaving him shaken for 1d6 rounds.
The doll may be destroyed by means of force (Hardness 10, 30 HP). Any communication with the doll is impossible. Any mind affecting or sleep spell is useless against the doll. Unless given away or stolen any attempts to simply leave the doll behind are unsuccessful and it will magically reappear in the belongings of the last person to hold it within 24 hours.
