Has this ever happened to you?
GM: “You walk into yet another square room, the third one in a row. This one has exactly as many goblins in it as there are people in the party. Time for exciting, unpredictable combat! Roll for initiative.”
Fighter: “I was purposely built with high dexterity and Improved Initiative. I go first again! Unpredictably, I charge the closest goblin with my sword!”
Goblin #1: “AIEEEE!”
Wizard: “I cast magic missile! They’ll never expect that!”
Goblin #2: “ARGH!”
Cleric: “Um, guys? Does anyone need to be healed? Oh, you all have full hit points? Well, never mind, I guess.”
Goblin #3: “I was not attacked, but I shall die anyway!”
Rogue: (bursts forth from shadows) “I have caught you flat-footed, goblin! Have at you!”
Goblin #4: “O, I am slain!”
Fighter: “We search the bodies!”
GM: “One of the goblins is carrying a key that opens the door on the other side of the room. You walk into a square room…”
Sound familiar? Well, you’re in the right place. Welcome to Pathfinder Encounters. Here’s what we do. Each week, we post a theme, then collect submissions from the community (that’s you). The next week, we post a roundup of these submitted encounters. Then, when you need an encounter for your campaign, you come, you browse, and you find an encounter that fits your needs. Stitch it into your campaign and you’re good to go. Quality content, easily accessible. No more stuff like up there. No more wondering when the teacher from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off became your Game Master. Everyone’s happy. Not bad, right? Enjoy the site, and don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any suggestions.
